IDENTIFIKASI KESULITAN BELAJAR PADA SISWA KELAS XI IPS 2 SMA NEGERI 1 MAMBI KABUPATEN MAMASA

This study aimed to describe: 1) the learning atmosphere of students in class XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 MambiMamasa Regency, 2) the factors that cause of students to experience learning difficulties in learning Social Sciences. Type of research was descriptive qualitative research, and case studies. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data was analyzed using qualitative data analysis, which was conducted continuously since the collection of data so that this research ends. The results showed that 1) the learning atmosphere of students of class XI IPS 2 of SMA Negeri 1 Mambi was less conducive from the location of the school because it is near to the traditional market. The students lacked concentration and who were slow in understanding the material delivered by the teacher. 2) Factors that cause students to experience learning difficulties are influenced by internal factors, namely cognitive limitations in managing learning outcomes, low learning attitudes, and social science subjects to be difficult material because of a lot of reading, and low concentration of learning
