Diarrhea is a disease characterized by increased frequency of bowel movements (usually more than 3 times a day). Liquid or slurry-like stools and decreased stool consistency compared to normal patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the antidiarrheal effect of taro leaf extract (Colocasia esculenta) on male mice (Mus musculus) induced by oleum ricini. The study (completely randomized design) was divided into 5 treatment groups, namely group I Na,CMC 1% as a negative control, group II taro leaf extract 200 mg, group III taro leaf extract 300 mg, group IV taro leaf extract 400 mg, and suspension. Diapet as positive control. The parameters taken ij this study include in time of occurrence of diarrhea, frequency of diarrhea, and consistency of feces in male mice (Mus musculus). Observation were made at intervals of 1 hour for 5 hours. Furthermore, the results are processed using the SPSS application which aims to see the difference in the anti-diarrhea effect between the treatment groups. The results showed that the ethanol extract of taro leaves (Colocasia esculenta) had an anti diarrhea effect againt male mice (Mus musculus) induced by oleum ricini. This is an experimental study using CRD
