Protrombin Time (PT) is a laboratory test result that measures the time required for blood to clot via the extrinsic and common pathway. This study is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional approach that examines the relationship between blood glucose levels (independent variable) and Prothrombin Time levels (dependent variable). The study population consisted of 30 patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM), bouth outpatients and inpatients, at Labuang Baji Regional Hospital, Makassar. Data collection involved blood sampling by medical personnel, followed by laboratory measurement of blood glucose and Prothrombin Time levels. The data obtained were analyzed using Pearson’s correlation test. The results showed that most patients had normal Prothrombin Time levels despitedespite elevated blood glucose levels. However, some patients exhibited significantly increased Prothrombin Time levels, indicating potensial coagulation disorder that may elevate the risk of bleeding. The Pearson correlation test revealed a weak and statistically non-significant relationship between blood glucose levels and Prothrombin Time, suggesting the possibility of other factors influencing Prothrombin Time levels.
