Abstract
Maternal health remains a top priority, and limited exclusive breastfeeding for infants impacts their
growth and development. The succession of intelligent, healthy, and high-quality children is determined by
the mother who gives birth and cares for her child. If breastfeeding is not provided adequately and
exclusively until six months of age, the immune system's maturation process is disrupted, leaving infants
susceptible to infectious diseases and potentially fatal outcomes. A common problem for mothers is low
breast milk production, which impacts the lack of exclusive breastfeeding. Measures are needed to increase
breast milk production, one of which is the administration of katuk leaf juice. The purpose of this study
was to determine the effect of giving katuk leaf juice on increasing breast milk production in postpartum
mothers in the Kobe Community Health Center, Weda Tengah District, Central Halmahera Regency. This
research method is pre-experimental using a one group pretest-posttest design using one group without a
control or comparison group. The population of this study was postpartum mothers in the working area of
the Kobe Community Health Center, Weda Tengah District with a population of 60 people using a
sampling method, namely simple random sampling of 38 postpartum mothers. The results showed a p value of 0.000, while the significance value of a<0.005. These results indicate that giving katuk leaf juice
has an effect on increasing breast milk production in postpartum mothers at the Kobe Community Health
Center, Weda District. Conclusion 1. There is an Effect of Giving Katuk Leaf Juice on Breast Milk
Production in Postpartum Mothers in the Kobe Health Center Area, Weda Tengah District, Central
Halmahera Regency. 2. Breast milk production before giving Katuk Leaf Juice shows that there are 3
respondents who have insufficient breast milk, 34 respondents who have sufficient breast milk and 1
respondent who has a lot of breast milk. 3. Increased breast milk production after giving Katuk Leaf Juice
shows that 28 respondents have a lot of breast milk, 9 respondents have sufficient breast milk and 1
respondent has insufficient breast milk
